Coolsculpting

Medical and cosmetic science has advanced to the point where there is now a proven non-surgical treatment for dealing with stubborn body fat – you can obtain the body contouring and sculpting you’ve always wanted through CoolSculpting.

If you are trying hard to get rid of unwanted fat from your body but despite diet and exercising are unable to experience the desired results, CoolSculpting may be right for you. This procedure can freeze fat away and is especially popular due to its ability to shrink love handles and reduce belly fat.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive technique that is used to target and get rid of fat cells in areas such as the waist, outer and inner thighs, abdomen, upper arms, neck, and chin. The procedure was cleared by the FDA in 2012 and it is now the most widely preferred non-surgical treatment for fat reduction.

The technique does not require anesthesia administration and only lasts one hour per treatment area. It is a very simple procedure, and you can immediately resume your routine activities after the treatment.

CoolSculpting is a fat freezing technique wherein the fatty tissues are broken down (subcutaneous fat) by cooling while not affecting the surrounding healthy muscles and nerves.

No needles or incisions are used, just cooling energy. If you are sensitive to cold temperatures, you will need to talk to your CoolSculpting practitioner regarding this before going ahead with the procedure.

Am I a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting?

Good candidates for this procedure have tried dieting and exercise but have not achieved the results they were hoping for. Good candidates are looking for a non-surgical solution to stubborn excess fat, one that does not require incisions, injections, anesthesia, or frustrating and painful downtime.

The best candidates for CoolSculpting treatment have pinchable subcutaneous fat. CoolSculpting specifically targets subcutaneous fat but does not treat visceral fat (beneath the muscle wall).

Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting have realistic expectations in terms of results and are patient, since the results take time to fully appear.

People who are obese are not good candidates for CoolSculpting treatment; it is best to be at or near one’s ideal weight and for that weight to be stable. Additionally, people who are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant soon are not good candidates for this procedure.

If you have a lymphatic system condition, this treatment option may not be right for you, since the lymphatic system is responsible for moving broken-down fat cells out of the body. Being in good overall health is important, and other existing health conditions may also affect candidacy.

If the targeted area is still healing after a prior surgery, it is best to avoid CoolSculpting until the healing process is complete.

How Should I Prepare for CoolSculpting?

You need to maintain a healthy body and near-ideal weight in order to be a good candidate for the procedure. Remember, CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss procedure but is used to eliminate only body bulges. Avoid anti-inflammatories before the procedure.

What Happens During the Treatment?

First, warming gel pads are placed on the treatment area to protect the skin. The medical practitioner then uses an applicator to deliver medical suction and controlled cooling to the treatment region.

Since this is a non-surgical procedure, you can relax, listen to music, or read your favorite book while the practitioner does their job. The procedure is absolutely painless. You might experience pinching and pulling during the process, which is normal.

After the Treatment

CoolSculpting is a safe and proven technique for fat reduction with negligible side-effects. Patients typically do not face any issues, though some experience minor cramping, numbness, or bruising.

No downtime or recovery time is required after the procedure is finished. This means that you can return to your schedule immediately after you freeze your fat away without having to take time off from work.

Once the treatment is finished, the body slowly and naturally filters out the destroyed fat cells. You may notice changes within 3 weeks of the treatment, and it will require a couple of months for more substantial results.

The fat-flushing process will continue for up to 6 months, so it is best to be patient. After the process is complete, you will be able to see the transformed you.

CoolSculpting Cost
