These pulses heat the collagen and elastin protein fibers in the skin, remodeling them and encouraging new collagen and elastin to grow.

This remodeling and growth of new skin proteins results in healthier and smoother skin in the targeted areas.

This is a fractional treatment, meaning that rather than treating an entire skin layer, the energy pulses target numerous very small areas on the skin layer while leaving other areas untreated. This allows the untreated sections to provide healing and rejuvenation.

During treatment, the upper layers of the skin are unharmed by the heat of the radiofrequency energy, making the procedure quite safe. It is FDA-approved and has undergone rigorous testing to ensure safety.

At the start of an eMatrix sublative rejuvenation treatment session, a topical anesthetic may be applied to the treatment area to numb it. In many cases, however, this is not required.
