Stretch Mark Removal

Conveniently located to serve Acton and Boston

For patients looking to get rid of bothersome and frustrating stretch marks, we provide treatments for stretch mark removal in Acton. We regularly perform FDA-approved eMatrix sublative rejuvenation and Morpheus8 treatments, which are quite effective and offer a very quick recovery time.

Why Do Stretch Marks Form?

Stretch marks can result from physical growth and weight gain. While these streaks or colored lines on the skin are nothing to worry about and do not indicate a medical condition, they can cause self-conscious and embarrassment.Stretch marks can be red or purple in the beginning. Over time, these marks fade, losing their color and blending into the skin more. This color difference is indicative of the age of these marks.

Treatment can shrink stretch marks or lighten them. Striae rubra, or red-colored newer stretch marks, are easily treatable in comparison to the older marks. The presence of blood vessels underneath the red-colored stretch marks makes treatment more responsive.

eMatrix Treatment

eMatrix sublative skin rejuvenation is a fractionated bi-polar radiofrequency energy treatment. The RF energy encourages new collagen and elastin protein production in the skin tissues. This stretch mark removal treatment is especially useful for hard-to-treat older stretch marks. It also addresses large pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. It is safe for all skin types, including dry and oily skin, and for all skin tones.

The eMatrix treatment does not require any removal (ablation) of surface skin. Because there is no damage to the top level of your skin, the treatment is not as intense as many other options and thus does not require a long recovery period. Treatment depth is also carefully calibrated.

About 3 to 4 eMatrix treatments of 10 to 20 minutes each are typically required. They are performed several months apart. Because collagen production is stimulated with this treatment, results become visible over the next 3 to 6 months.

Morpheus8 Treatment

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive treatment that has gained tremendous popularity for its revolutionary outcome. Not only does it remove stretch marks, it can also treat a number of other issues, including sagging skin, acne scars, and cellulite.Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. The tiny microneedles safely pierce the skin’s surface to create microinjuries, which stimulates the body’s healing response. The microneedles also break up fibrous and scar tissues. The RF energy stimulates the production of elastin and collagen proteins in the skin tissues.

Noticeable improvements are seen within weeks in the form of tighter, firmer, and smoother skin. Unlike many other treatments, Morpheus8 does not result in any post-treatment hyperpigmentation.

Treatment Aftercare

Our stretch mark removal therapies are outpatient treatments, and patients can get back to their jobs the day after the session. Redness may be temporarily present in the treatment areas but will fade away within hours.

How Much Does Stretch Mark Removal Cost?

The price of your stretch mark removal treatment will be based on several factors. Factors impacting cost include the number and age of stretch marks being treated, treatment location, number of treatment sessions, and the treatment modality that is chosen.
