Laser hair removal emits a light that is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair which then is converted to heat which destroys the hair follicles. This process inhibits or delays existing and future hair growth.

The laser feels like a warm rubber band snapping and is combined with a cooling system to reduce any discomfort.

Our machine is the gold standard for laser hair removal. It is equipped with two different wavelengths; one for darker skin and one for lighter skin. This makes administering on all skin types safe and effective.

Typically 8-12 sessions depending on the skin type is needed for optimal results.

The area needs to be shaved within 24 hours of the treatment. Waxing, tweezing and chemical depilatories must be avoided prior to your first treatment and throughout the entire process. You may continue to shave the treatment areas as much as is needed.

Lasers will only be effective on hair with some sort of pigment. If the hair is white, red or blonde it will not be effective.

You must avoid the sun for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. There can not be an active tan (including self tanners/tanning beds) in the area being treated. No antibiotic use for 2 weeks prior, can not be pregnant or nursing, no retinol/hydroquinone in treatment area for 5-7 days, no accutane use for 6 months.
